Senior Associate, Data Solutions Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement strategic data solutions utilizing contemporary data engineering principles to meet business needs.

• Independently develop and enhance data ingestion and transformation processes.

• Provide incremental datasets for downstream utilization.

• Advocate for automation and function within an agile development framework, adhering to DevOps methodologies.

• Assess and refine existing data pipelines for improved efficiency.

• Propose future architectures that enhance scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with teams in data platform engineering, data governance, data science, and data analytics/visualization.

• Mentor and support early-career professionals.

• Share best practices to contribute to the team's collective knowledge.

• Offer operational assistance, runbooks, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, cloud computing, and data operations.

• At least four years of programming experience with Python, Julia, and/or R.

• Strong proficiency in SQL.

• Comprehensive knowledge of data lakes, data governance, and contemporary data quality methods.

• Detail-oriented with skills in debugging and troubleshooting.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Domain expertise in Actuarial, Investment, or Finance within the Insurance/Reinsurance sector is advantageous.
