Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more locations.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines and business-conformed dimensional data marts in collaboration with Data Science, Engineering, Product, and Operations teams.

• Assist in the development and adoption of agentic tools, including Mercury’s AI Data Analyst (Hermes) and dbt Agent (Ralph).

• Facilitate self-service analytics workflows, promote Analytics Engineering skills, and apply dimensional data principles through implementation, education, and peer guidance.

• Implement data and analytics products necessary for establishing Mercury’s bank charter.

• Contribute to strategies focused on data quality, governance, and security.

• Contribute to the establishment of Analytics Engineering standards and best practices.

• Develop shared data infrastructures that support decision-making, automation, and measurement across Mercury.

• Enable robust data products, accelerated experimentation, propensity models, agentic workflows, and data-driven customer experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in Analytics or Data Engineering.

• Proficient in working with a complete modern data stack, including Fivetran, Airflow, Snowflake, dbt, Omni, Hex, or similar tools.

• Strong proficiency in SQL.

• Practical experience with Python programming.

• Skilled in utilizing AI agents to enhance productivity.

• Familiarity with dimensional data modeling principles and building scalable data solutions.

• Ability to prioritize and deliver reusable, scalable outcomes.

• Capability to produce readable code, comprehensive tests, and quality documentation.

• Experience in the banking or financial services sector may be a plus.

• Background in agentic development and/or analytics workflows may be an advantage.

• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices may be an asset.

• A full-stack mindset with a willingness to tackle problems from end to end may be beneficial.
