Senior Associate, Corporate Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Facilitate M&A and strategic investment activities from start to finish, encompassing the screening and evaluation of targets, leading market and operational diligence, constructing valuation models, drafting investment memos, and assisting leadership with deal structuring and negotiations.

• Take charge of post-merger integration planning and execution, which includes defining the integration thesis, creating the integration plan, and managing necessary workstreams.

• Assist in fundraising preparedness by maintaining materials that are ready for diligence, managing data rooms, financial models, and KPI reporting, while overseeing process timelines and outstanding items.

• Create strategic business cases for new ventures, incorporating market and competitive analysis, target segments and use cases, partnership economics, and execution roadmaps.

• Provide the leadership team with a well-informed external perspective on competitors, market dynamics, and emerging models, translating insights into actionable recommendations.

• Propel internal strategy communications through strategy memos and tracking planning and execution.

• Develop scalable processes and strategies to boost corporate development capabilities.

• Cultivate relationships with blockchain founders and industry leaders while sustaining an organic pipeline of opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or in a corporate development or strategic finance role.

• Direct participation in at least one M&A or fundraising process from initiation to completion, having real ownership of workstreams rather than merely adjacent exposure.

• Strong fluency in cryptocurrency, with prior crypto-native work experience highly preferred.

• Proficient financial modeling and market sizing abilities, especially in segments where public data is sparse or inconsistent.

• Outstanding written and visual communication skills, capable of independently creating an executive-ready presentation and writing clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Comfort with ambiguity and a strong sense of ownership.

• Bachelor's degree.
