Senior Associate, Client Accounting Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee accounting functions and programs.

• Generate financial work papers and reports.

• Aid in monitoring, maintaining, and reconciling financial accounts and Accounts Payable.

• Sustain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.

• Compile annual compliance reports, which include 1099s and City Tax reports.

• Draft financial statements, such as Balance Sheets, Income Statements, General Ledgers, Trial Balances, and ad hoc reports.

• Facilitate the preparation of financial statements and supporting documents for annual tax preparation and quarterly extension payments.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts as well as non-compliance issues with management, clients, and third parties.

• Contribute to the development of new or revised accounting systems, programs, and procedures.

• Conduct accounting research and other related accounting tasks.

• Provide support and training to staff as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, and/or bookkeeping.

• Capability to track and comprehend partnership investments.

• Ability to understand and accurately document brokerage transactions.

• Strong grasp of balance sheets and profit & loss statements.

• Financial analysis proficiency.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Outstanding organizational and project management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members.

• Experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, Xero, and Gusto is advantageous.

• Familiarity with accounting principles (GAAP/OCBOA) and annual tax compliance is a plus.

• Capability to train and manage staff is a plus.

• Experience in Public Accounting is beneficial.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
