Technical Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the evaluation of ASC 805 opening balance sheets and the allocation of purchase prices for acquisitions.

• Collaborate with external valuation experts and assess fair value analyses for compliance with GAAP.

• Take ownership of and enhance the onboarding procedure for newly acquired operating entities.

• Act as the technical accounting authority from due diligence through closing and subsequent reporting.

• Create scalable frameworks and templates in response to increasing deal volumes.

• Compose and manage technical accounting memoranda for complex issues.

• Address matters related to carve-out and push-down accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, goodwill, reporting units, going concern evaluations, PCC elections, debt modifications, equity/PIU agreements, and foreign currency issues.

• Provide guidance to Grove accounting teams on GAAP-related inquiries.

• Assist in external audits concerning M&A-related technical issues.

• Lead cross-functional teams throughout onboarding cycles and mentor accounting personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Background in public accounting, consulting, and/or industry experience.

• Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing ASC 805 documentation.

• Proficiency in navigating ASC 606, ASC 350, ASC 810, and ASC 718.

• CPA certification is required.

• Previous experience in a private equity-backed, multi-entity, or high-acquisition-volume setting is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Business Central, OneStream, Power BI, and/or FloQast is a plus.
