Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Establish the overall verification strategy, technical planning, and direction for SoC-level projects.

• Facilitate and lead the development of UVM environments to validate RTL at the block, unit, and SoC levels.

• Create and implement functional tests based on verification test plans.

• Instrument testbenches for functional and code coverage, driving closure based on coverage metrics.

• Collaborate with design, software, emulation, system hardware, and post-silicon/silicon validation teams to ensure design quality and achieve first-pass silicon success.

• Offer daily guidance and leadership to team members.

• Achieve results through mentoring, coaching, and counseling.

• Educate the team on AI tools to boost productivity and efficiency.

• Develop and enforce coding and verification standards.

• Take ownership of verification closure for complete projects, including design modules, subsystems, and SoCs.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in writing code using UVM/SystemVerilog.

• Verification experience for complex SoCs that encompass multiple clock and reset domains, utilizing VCS or similar simulation tools.

• Proficiency in debugging failures to the RTL line and resolving bug fixes using Verdi or equivalent debugging tools.

• Experience in developing testbenches from the ground up.

• Familiarity with revision control systems such as Git or SVN.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.

• Preferred: Over 8 years of relevant networking hardware verification experience with expertise in 50G, 100G, or 400G Ethernet MAC/PCS, TCP/IP, RDMA/RoCE, or IPSec.

• Preferred: Knowledge of TCL, Python, Perl, or shell scripting.

• Preferred: Proven track record of first-pass success in ASIC and systems.

• Experience using AI tools for generating test plans and enhancing verification productivity is highly desirable.
