Senior Applied Scientist – Pricing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and enhance dynamic pricing systems for the marketplace.

• Build a pricing framework that utilizes feedback-driven decision-making to balance supply, demand, and business outcomes amidst uncertainty and delayed signals.

• Analyze user behavior, incentives, and marketplace dynamics to inform the bid-based pricing model.

• Design, test, and implement real-time pricing algorithms.

• Assess the impact of pricing strategies through experimentation and marketplace analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Science, Applied Research, or algorithmic product optimization, ideally within marketplaces or pricing systems.

• Strong foundation in statistics, optimization techniques, and causal inference.

• Demonstrated capability to transition from problem identification to production-quality solutions.

• Expertise in Python and SQL.

• Experience with production machine learning systems.

• Preferred: Familiarity with economic modeling, including elasticity, auctions, and policy formulation.

• Preferred: Knowledge of control systems, reinforcement learning, or online optimization methodologies.

• Preferred: Experience in working with real-time, high-load systems.
