Senior Applied AI Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Developing production systems driven by software engineering, data science, and cutting-edge AI technology.

• Create, construct, and implement production systems that integrate software engineering, data science, large language models (LLMs), agentic AI, and intelligent automation.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Engineers, IT teams, and Business Analysts to convert concepts, models, and business needs into robust, scalable solutions.

• Operationalizing statistical and decision-science models, constructing AI-driven products and workflows, selecting and incorporating foundation models, optimizing cost and performance, and developing agent-based systems to automate and improve complex business processes.

• Success is defined by the delivery of reliable and maintainable production systems that generate measurable business value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in professional software engineering.

• Proven track record in delivering production applications and services.

• Background in developing AI-enabled products or intelligent systems.

• Experience throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Proficient in React, Node.js, and TypeScript as the core development stack.

• Skilled in Python for tasks related to AI, automation, and data as needed.

• Experience in API development, systems integration, and designing scalable architectures.

• Knowledgeable in SQL, data modeling, and data integration.

• Familiar with automated testing, CI/CD, and contemporary engineering practices.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI, and prompt engineering.

• Understanding of RAG, agentic workflows, and AI orchestration patterns.

• Expertise in evaluating, selecting, and optimizing foundation models.

• Experience in monitoring, testing, and supporting AI systems in production.
