This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.
• Develop and deliver production-ready agentic AI solutions for critical enterprise challenges.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial discovery and prototyping to customer trials, general release, and continuous improvement.
• Create agentic architectures utilizing LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, PydanticAI, or similar technologies.
• Execute planning, decomposition, tool application, multi-step workflows, memory management, state control, self-correction, and human-in-the-loop methodologies.
• Construct agent infrastructure, encompassing MCP servers/tools, skills, agent gateways, and communication between agents.
• Develop knowledge and retrieval systems that include RAG, hybrid graph/vector retrieval, taxonomy, ontology, metadata, provenance, and content lifecycle management.
• Design security and trust features for enterprises, including authorization, tenant isolation, auditability, guardrails, prompt-injection safeguards, and controlled tool access.
• Create evaluation and observability systems to assess task success, quality, latency, costs, drift, and reliability.
• Identify regressions prior to release and oversee production performance.
• Make architectural decisions balancing agents and deterministic software, considering accuracy, reliability, latency, complexity, and cost.
• Take ownership of production systems end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, incident response, performance, reliability, and cost management.
• Develop reusable patterns and tools.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to establishing Ozmo's AI development methodologies.
• Integrate AI coding agents throughout the development process while ensuring quality in delivered products.
• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering.
• Significant experience in building and maintaining production SaaS applications.
• At least 2 years of practical experience with production LLM/agent systems.
• Proven track record of delivering systems to actual users.
• Experience guiding AI products from the prototype stage through pilot testing to production.
• Familiarity with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, or comparable tools.
• Hands-on experience with tool utilization, orchestration, planning, multi-agent workflows, and human-in-the-loop systems.
• In-depth understanding of MCP, agent gateways, skills, memory, evaluation, observability, and interoperability.
• Knowledge of RAG, hybrid retrieval, vector and graph databases, metadata, taxonomy/ontology, and retrieval assessment.
• Foundations in enterprise engineering including multi-tenancy, security, authorization, auditability, reliability, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud-native production environments using Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, Docker, and AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and strong skills in software architecture.
• Proficiency in API design, data modeling, testing, performance, and distributed systems.
• Exceptional technical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to articulate non-deterministic AI behaviors, make practical trade-offs, mentor engineers, and take ownership of outcomes.
• Must reside in AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, NC, NJ, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WI.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
