Senior Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery of production AI and ML systems, transitioning from experimentation to deployment.

• Train, fine-tune, and enhance machine learning models, including large language models (LLMs) and open-weight models.

• Construct and maintain training, data processing, and inference pipelines.

• Enhance model performance in terms of accuracy, latency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Apply MLOps best practices for deployment, monitoring, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and automated retraining.

• Create evaluation frameworks, benchmark datasets, and quality assurance checks for production models.

• Design and sustain scalable APIs and services that provide AI functionalities.

• Work collaboratively with Product, Backend, and Frontend teams to incorporate AI into customer-facing processes.

• Oversee production systems and perpetually enhance model and infrastructure performance.

• Investigate and assess new AI techniques, tools, and frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of experience in roles such as AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Applied AI Engineer, or equivalent positions.

• Strong background in training, fine-tuning, and deploying machine learning models in production environments.

• Proficient in Python and machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.

• Experience in operating and maintaining production ML systems.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Familiarity with cloud ML services like SageMaker, Vertex AI, or comparable platforms.

• Deep understanding of API design and distributed system architecture.

• Experience in implementing MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and model monitoring strategies.

• Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and contemporary data infrastructure.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Candidates must be citizens of India and currently reside in India.
