Senior Applications Engineer, AI for Material Science, Chemistry

📋 Description

• Create innovative tools and features in NVIDIA ALCHEMI to enhance performant atomistic simulation workflows.

• Assist customers and developers in integrating material science applications with AI surrogates utilizing NVIDIA ALCHEMI.

• Conduct application profiling and benchmarking to showcase product value.

• Work alongside subject matter experts to produce whitepapers and conduct research.

• Engage in workshops centered around material science and AI.

• Collaborate across research, engineering, and product teams to develop software tools that connect traditional simulations with AI surrogates.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or equivalent experience in computational physics, computational chemistry, computer science, or other related technical disciplines.

• Over 8 years of experience or proven expertise in creating high-performance numerical methods for scientific computing or material science applications.

• Proficient in executing material science simulations on large-scale HPC systems.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a globally distributed team.

• Strong proficiency in Fortran, C++, CUDA, Python, and mainstream Material Science tools.

• Exceptional understanding of high-performance plane waves primitives response properties and high-throughput screening.

• Experience with implementing high-performance accelerator algorithms, optimizing runtime performance, and utilizing floating-point emulation and mixed precision libraries.
