Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mauritania.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance to mining clients and regional Sales teams.

• Facilitate product performance evaluations, field assessments, and warranty-related technical analysis.

• Aid in product design, customization, reverse engineering, and enhancement efforts.

• Create robust CAD models, drawings, simulation inputs, and technical documentation.

• Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee that products are designed, manufactured, and delivered according to customer specifications.

• Assist with product trials, testing, validation, and gathering customer feedback.

• Gather customer requirements and provide relevant engineering insights.

• Transform field feedback into actionable engineering solutions.

• Maintain a strong emphasis on safety, quality, customer outcomes, and Bradken’s engineering standards.

• Travel frequently to customer locations, approximately 50–75% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Background in design, reliability, application engineering, or a similar technical position.

• Experience in mining, construction equipment, fabrications, heavy manufacturing, or comparable industrial settings.

• Familiarity with product design, development, or project delivery.

• Proficient in 3D CAD and FEA software.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally and regionally.

• Proficient in English.

• French language skills are required.

• Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

• Experience with Siemens NX, ANSYS, Siemens Teamcenter PLM, or 3D scanning is highly valued.

• Understanding of surface mining equipment, mine site regulations, and MSHA or relevant regional mine hazard training is preferred.

• A stable, high-speed internet connection and a reliable power source suitable for remote digital tasks.

• Mauritanian citizenship or legal residency, with current residence anywhere within Mauritania.

• Successful completion of a psychometric assessment and pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing.
