Senior Application Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions on the Power Platform, which includes Canvas and Model-driven Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate cloud flows and approvals, RDBMS and Dataverse data models, business rules and security roles, as well as Power BI reports and dashboards.

• Convert business and program requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Create reusable components, patterns, and templates that adhere to OTS standards.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer and training for in-house developers.

• Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure services, and external systems using connectors and APIs.

• Implement best practices to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Enforce role-based security, DLP policies, and environmental strategies.

• Ensure adherence to Louisiana OTS standards and relevant federal and state regulations.

• Assist with audits, documentation, and technical reviews.

• Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, architects, and developers.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and citizen developers.

• Engage in solution reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions.

• Assess and test new features and capabilities of the Power Platform.

• Support the development of conversational AI solutions and virtual agents using Copilot Studio.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in creating solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate (both on-premises and cloud), RDBMS, Dataverse, and Power BI.

• More than 5 years of comprehensive knowledge in application lifecycle management (ALM), environment strategy encompassing deployment and troubleshooting across Dev/Test/Prod, security and role-based access control, as well as SQL queries.

• At least 5 years of experience in gathering requirements and converting them into technical designs.

• Capability to work independently and across multiple projects within a shared-services environment.

• Experience with Copilot Studio or similar conversational AI platforms is preferred.

• Background in government, public sector, or regulated environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with MS SQL Server is preferred.

• Knowledge of Dynamics 365, Azure services, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform is preferred.

• Microsoft certifications, including Power Platform Developer or Solution Architect, are preferred.
