Senior Application Developer – ServiceNow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and maintain applications within the ServiceNow platform.

• Create custom scoped applications utilizing ServiceNow App Engine, App Engine Studio, and ServiceNow Studio.

• Architect application data models, custom tables, relationships, business logic, security frameworks, and user experiences.

• Develop and sustain Service Portal applications, including pages, widgets, and both client- and server-side functionalities.

• Craft advanced solutions through Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs, Glide APIs, and other scripting tools.

• Design and implement application security protocols employing roles, ACLs, application scopes, and security best practices.

• Create workflows and automate processes using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, subflows, actions, and scripted automation.

• Develop and manage REST, SOAP, Scripted REST, and other integrations with external enterprise systems.

• Construct reusable application components and development patterns for sustainable, enterprise-scale implementations.

• Troubleshoot issues related to applications, scripting, integrations, performance, and platform functionalities.

• Engage in application architecture and technical design discussions.

• Convert functional and technical requirements into technical designs and operational solutions.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with ServiceNow coding standards.

• Assist in testing, defect resolution, release management, and production deployment.

• Collaborate with business analysts, solution owners, architects, stakeholders, and fellow developers.

• Deliver technical demonstrations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Support existing ServiceNow capabilities related to ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and more.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, solutioning, testing, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• DoD Secret Clearance.

• Over 12 years of relevant experience.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field may substitute for 5 years of relevant experience.

• Experience with ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, CMDB, and Service Mapping functionalities.

• Certified ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA).

• Extensive experience in ServiceNow implementation and development (ITSM, ITOM, SPM).

• Proficient in ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Actions.

• Skilled in REST/SOAP APIs and web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and AJAX.

• Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL or Oracle.

• Experience with Agile methodologies.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership capabilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Experience with the Axonius Platform (preferred).

• Background in Asset Management (preferred).

• Certified ServiceNow Developer (preferred).

• Certified Implementation Specialist (preferred).

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification (preferred).

• JavaScript/AngularJS development experience (preferred).

• System integration experience utilizing web services, XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP (preferred).

• Agile Certification (preferred).

• Experience within the Department of Defense (preferred).
