This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Assist in the development of applications, governance, and infrastructure.
• Assess and create integration points.
• Generate developer guidance and governance frameworks.
• Engage in architectural design and infrastructure deliberations.
• Develop integrations to promote customer success.
• Work collaboratively with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders.
• Convert business requirements into technical designs for data mapping and loading from source systems or data warehouses to transactional databases.
• Ensure solutions across various applications align with the future IT roadmap in collaboration with IT Leadership.
• Participate in hands-on development, technical design discussions, proofs of concept, and demonstrations.
• Create and implement Appian and associated web-based applications.
• Offer technical guidance to development teams while adhering to best practices.
• Manage or support Appian platforms and environments, including liaising with Appian support.
• Develop Appian business process management applications and integrate them with enterprise solutions.
• Estimate and assess Appian business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and debug Appian development and production applications.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Appian Level 2 Certification is preferred (not mandatory).
• Proficient in Agile methodologies, APIs, Web Services, integrations, and Appian plugins.
• Experienced with integrations involving external systems.
• Familiarity or experience in AI-integrated feature development and/or AI-supported DevOps/Testing is preferred.
• Experience in working on multiple applications or across various applications.
• Skilled in Appian BPM and complex SQL database structures.
• Capable of following directions and collaborating with one or more project teams.
• Competent in managing the project backlog and schedule, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery when required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong design sensibility, attention to detail, and punctuality.
• Willing to volunteer time, mentor others, and make contributions.
• Ability to scope Appian projects effectively.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
• 4–6+ years of experience in Appian development.
