This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to guarantee adherence to Electrical Distribution System standards and regulations.
• Create and assess project design packages utilizing WMS, Pole Foreman, Distribution Design Studio, Design Manager, and/or AutoCAD.
• Implement client, industry, and regulatory standards to current distribution system components.
• Assist the Engineering Manager with various project assignments.
• Oversee project performance and cultivate customer relationships for the distribution team.
• Identify and address issues effectively.
• Evaluate finalized designs and design outputs for compliance with client, industry, and regulatory standards.
• Assess design products for quality and uniformity.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, and regulatory representatives.
• Sustain productivity in a dynamic environment.
• Recognize and advocate for training opportunities.
• AA/AS Degree or two years of specialized trade training (technical school/certifications) is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required to qualify for an Engineer title; candidates lacking a bachelor's degree may be considered for a Technician-level position based on their experience.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Utility Distribution design utilizing Design Manager, Pole Foreman, AutoCAD, or comparable software.
• Understanding of electrical distribution system design engineering standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Capability to apply client, industry, and regulatory standards to existing distribution system components.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong dedication to customer service and client support.
• Ability to manage various projects and meet deadlines.
