This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain native Android SDKs that are utilized in production settings.
• Introduce new features to the SDK and improve existing functionalities.
• Ensure the stability, backward compatibility, and quality of SDK releases.
• Design and support the architecture, packaging, versioning, and release processes of the SDK.
• Maintain distribution pipelines for Maven and Gradle.
• Create and uphold automated and device-based testing solutions.
• Investigate and rectify SDK defects, integration issues, and problems reported by publishers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the reliability and performance of the SDK.
• Engage in release planning, validation, and quality assurance activities.
• Provide support to external publishers during SDK integration and troubleshooting.
• Work remotely with a distributed team on open-source Android SDKs that are integrated into real-world mobile applications at scale.
• A minimum of 4 years of commercial experience in Android development.
• Strong professional experience with Kotlin and Java programming languages.
• Proven track record in developing native Android SDKs or libraries.
• Strong comprehension of Android SDK architecture and its lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with SDK packaging and distribution tools, including Maven Central, JitPack, and Gradle plugins.
• Experience in versioning, release management, and handling dependencies.
• Practical background in automated testing and device-based testing methodologies.
• A strong emphasis on software quality and reliability in production environments.
• Experience in environments that are critical to release processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot intricate integration and compatibility challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the capability to thrive in a distributed team setting.
• Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing methods and optimizing test coverage.
• Understanding of mobile advertising technologies and the AdTech ecosystem.
• Familiarity with SSP platforms and ad servers.
• Knowledge of banner and video advertising mechanics.
• Understanding of tracking beacons and pixel-based analytics.
• Experience in contributing to or maintaining open-source SDKs.
• Background in supporting third-party publisher integrations.
• Flexibility to work remotely.
