Mobile Software Engineer – Android

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design innovative features for the upcoming Olo application

• Realize the post-MVP vision of the application

• Collect feedback from the expanding user community and address reported issues

• Aid in planning the application's feature roadmap

• Contribute insights on the trajectory of the iOS and Android codebases

• Exhibit knowledge of the team’s domain and technology stack

• Manage small to medium features independently and take responsibility for moderately complex tasks

• Write clean, maintainable code and engage in peer code reviews

• Collaborate with Product to clarify requirements and develop effective solutions

• Deliver high-quality software within specified timelines

• Diagnose and resolve common and moderately complex issues

• Assist with the deployment and monitoring of services

• Create and sustain reliable distributed systems and resilience mechanisms

• Participate in team ceremonies and facilitate the unblocking of others

• Utilize Claude Code as part of the daily workflow

• Ensure the maintenance of the delivery pipeline, code quality, testing standards, and deployment practices

• Engage in on-call responsibilities

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Over 2 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on native mobile development

• Expertise in native Android mobile development using Kotlin

• Experience in implementing moderately complex features and algorithms

• Familiarity with version control tools such as GitHub

• Experience in participating in CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions

• Proficient in writing and maintaining unit and integration tests

• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities

• Experience in conveying technical details to team members, product managers, and stakeholders

• Active participation in on-call duties is mandatory
