Senior Android Developer – Ad SDK Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and maintain native Android SDKs utilized in production settings.

• Implement new features in the SDK and refine existing functionalities.

• Ensure the stability, backward compatibility, and quality of SDK releases.

• Design and support the architecture, packaging, versioning, and release processes of the SDK.

• Maintain distribution pipelines for Maven and Gradle.

• Create and uphold automated and device-based testing solutions.

• Investigate and resolve SDK defects, integration challenges, and issues reported by publishers.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the reliability and performance of the SDK.

• Engage in release planning, validation, and quality assurance activities.

• Assist external publishers during SDK integration and troubleshooting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of commercial experience in Android development.

• Strong professional experience with Kotlin and Java.

• Proven track record in developing native Android SDKs or libraries.

• Deep understanding of Android SDK architecture and its lifecycle.

• Hands-on experience with SDK packaging and distribution tools, including Maven Central, JitPack, and Gradle plugins.

• Familiarity with versioning, release management, and handling dependencies.

• Practical experience in automated testing as well as device-based testing.

• Strong emphasis on software quality and production reliability.

• Experience in environments where releases are critical.

• Ability to troubleshoot intricate integration and compatibility issues.

• Good communication abilities and capability to work effectively in a distributed team setting.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher.
