Senior Android Developer, Ad SDK Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and maintain native Android SDKs utilized in production settings.

• Implement new features for the SDK and refine existing functionalities.

• Ensure the stability of the SDK, maintain backward compatibility, and uphold release quality.

• Design and support the SDK's architecture, packaging, versioning, and release procedures.

• Oversee Maven and Gradle distribution pipelines.

• Create and uphold automated and device-based testing solutions.

• Investigate and resolve SDK defects, integration challenges, and issues reported by publishers.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the reliability and performance of the SDK.

• Take part in release planning, validation, and quality assurance activities.

• Assist external publishers during the SDK integration and troubleshooting processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of commercial Android development experience.

• Strong commercial proficiency in Kotlin and Java.

• Demonstrated experience in developing native Android SDKs or libraries.

• Solid understanding of the Android SDK architecture and lifecycle.

• Practical experience with Maven Central, JitPack, and Gradle plugins.

• Knowledge of versioning, release management, and dependency handling.

• Hands-on experience with automated testing and device-based testing.

• A strong emphasis on software quality and reliability in production environments.

• Experience in release-critical environments.

• Ability to troubleshoot complicated integration and compatibility issues.

• Good communication skills and the capacity to work effectively within a distributed team.

• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
