This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.
• Develop, improve, and sustain native Android SDKs utilized in production settings.
• Introduce new features to the SDK and enhance existing functionalities.
• Guarantee SDK stability, backward compatibility, and high release quality.
• Design and maintain SDK architecture, packaging, versioning, and release procedures.
• Oversee Maven and Gradle distribution pipelines.
• Create and uphold automated and device-oriented testing solutions.
• Investigate and rectify SDK defects, integration challenges, and issues reported by publishers.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance SDK reliability and performance.
• Engage in release planning, validation, and quality assurance tasks.
• Assist external publishers during SDK integration and troubleshooting efforts.
• Over 4 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong commercial proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Demonstrated experience in developing native Android SDKs or libraries.
• Deep understanding of Android SDK architecture and its lifecycle.
• Practical experience with SDK packaging and distribution tools such as Maven Central, JitPack, and Gradle plugins.
• Experience in versioning, release management, and handling dependencies.
• Hands-on experience with automated and device-based testing.
• Strong emphasis on software quality and production reliability.
• Experience in environments where releases are critical.
• Ability to troubleshoot intricate integration and compatibility challenges.
• Strong communication skills and capability to work in a distributed team setting.
• Upper-Intermediate level of English or above.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing methods and optimizing test coverage is an advantage.
• Understanding of mobile advertising technologies and AdTech ecosystems is a plus.
• Experience with SSP platforms and ad servers is advantageous.
• Knowledge of banner and video advertising mechanics is beneficial.
• Awareness of tracking beacons and pixel-based analytics is a plus.
• Experience in contributing to or maintaining open-source SDKs is an asset.
• Experience in supporting third-party publisher integrations is a plus.
