Senior Android Developer, Ad SDK Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop, improve, and maintain native Android SDKs utilized in production settings.

• Implement new features for the SDK and enhance existing functionalities.

• Ensure the SDK's stability, backward compatibility, and overall release quality.

• Design and support the architecture, packaging, versioning, and release processes of the SDK.

• Maintain distribution pipelines for Maven and Gradle.

• Create and uphold automated and device-based testing solutions.

• Investigate and rectify SDK defects, integration challenges, and issues reported by publishers.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the SDK's reliability and performance.

• Engage in release planning, validation, and quality assurance activities.

• Provide support to external publishers during SDK integration and troubleshooting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of professional Android development experience.

• Strong commercial expertise in Kotlin and Java.

• Proven experience in developing native Android SDKs or libraries.

• Deep understanding of Android SDK architecture and its lifecycle.

• Practical experience with SDK packaging and distribution tools such as Maven Central, JitPack, and Gradle plugins.

• Experience with versioning, release management, and dependency management.

• Hands-on experience with automated and device-based testing.

• Strong emphasis on software quality and production reliability.

• Experience in release-critical environments.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex integration and compatibility issues.

• Good communication skills and capacity to work in a distributed team setting.

• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
