Senior Analytics Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Oversee strategic analytics initiatives within commercial, political, and non-profit sectors.

• Act as the project manager for medium to large-scale client projects.

• Engage actively in data management, report and calculator creation, memo or deck preparation, and analytical tasks.

• Function as a principal manager, team leader, and client-facing representative.

• Guide both internal and external stakeholders through analysis, data management, presentations, and communications.

• Develop data infrastructure, reports, and calculators that drive client solutions.

• Create client-facing materials that encapsulate key findings.

• Provide leadership to the team, resolve problems, and ensure deadlines are met with insightful and actionable analysis.

• Analyze polling data to uncover trends and insights, producing clear reports.

• Construct crosstabs detailing advertising audiences, target demographics, or survey respondents.

• Present findings to both technical and non-technical clients and stakeholders.

• Mentor analysts or fellows, fostering their growth and development.

• Execute other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading senior analysts on large, unstructured projects.

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a statistical focus or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in data analysis and report generation.

• Technical proficiency to independently manage projects and support team members.

• At least 2 years of direct management experience overseeing analysts or technical staff.

• A strong commitment to utilizing data-driven solutions to advance social outcomes.

• Eagerness to learn and guide others in data management, analysis, and visualization.

• Professional experience in using data to extract clear insights and conduct analyses under tight deadlines in unstructured or open-ended scenarios.

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field with some statistical training and a minimum of 6 years’ experience in data analysis and report creation.

• Experience in generating reports and employing data visualization and business intelligence tools.

• Familiarity with GIS data and proficiency with mapping tools like QGIS or ArcGIS.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL.

• Proficiency with spreadsheet and presentation software (Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, Keynote).

• Leadership capabilities in empathy, active listening, coaching/feedback, integrity, decisiveness, and problem-solving.

• Ability to effectively navigate and manage client relationships, resolve issues, establish connections, and seize opportunities.

• Successful candidates will be required to complete a technical assessment and participate in up to three interviews.
