Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist Lead Analysts in ongoing client projects by engaging in data mapping, system configuration, documentation, and testing within clients' ERP systems.

• Take responsibility for clearly defined, lower-complexity workstreams with oversight from the Lead Analyst.

• Acquire knowledge of BIG's primary ERP platforms and delivery methodologies through collaborative work with a Lead Analyst mentor.

• Ensure the maintenance of precise, client-facing documentation and internal delivery records.

• Engage in team check-ins and knowledge-sharing sessions.

• Assess organizational methods and produce specification documents for various data sources.

• Guarantee quality assurance for imported data.

• Collect requirements, deliver status reports, and foster relationships with management and users.

• Analyze data to respond to stakeholder inquiries, identify trends, and propose opportunities for enhancing business performance, efficiency, or data quality.

• Develop and manage interactive visualizations utilizing data from multiple reporting components and sources.

• Assist in data acquisition and integration tasks using BIG’s technology stack, standards, and design patterns.

• Facilitate collaboration across different divisions.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related discipline.

• 1-2 years of internship or practical experience in data mining as a Data Analyst.

• Demonstrated success in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

• High proficiency in creating and designing Tableau visualizations.

• Established analytical skills, encompassing mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization.

• Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written.

• Strong SQL or Excel capabilities with a willingness to learn additional analytical tools.

• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines effectively.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving competencies.

• Ability to analyze metrics and generate reports.

• Strong computer proficiency.

• Capacity to make sound judgment calls and exercise discretion.

• Prior experience with any ERP or business-systems platforms is preferred.

• Familiarity with basic data/reporting tools is preferred.

• Exposure to data engineering fundamentals, simple data pipelines, APIs, or scripting data transformations is preferred; working knowledge of Python is a plus.

• A background in agriculture is preferred.
