Geoprocessing Analyst, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the analysis and approval of geospatial data.

• Develop and organize innovative quality-control methods while executing geoprocessing projects for the organization.

• Engage in technical discussions with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements, methodologies, and quality standards.

• Offer customer support for data-related queries and provide first-level assistance for the Geopixel Cidades platform.

• Assist the Marketing and Sales teams by creating samples and demonstrations and participating in technical client visits.

• Create SQL and Python scripts.

• Ensure data integrity and perform topological validations on spatial data.

• Manage the processing of spatial and tabular data.

• Publish data to online systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Cartographic Engineering, Database Management, Computer Engineering, Architecture, Geoprocessing Technology, Forestry Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in the area.

• Postgraduate degree/MBA in Geoprocessing or a related discipline.

• Preferred international language certification, such as TOEFL.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases.

• Proficiency in Python programming.

• Advanced understanding of Cartography.

• Advanced expertise in the Microsoft platform.

• Strong familiarity with GIS tools (QGIS, AutoCAD, etc.) and/or digital image-processing software (PCI, PIX4D, ERDAS, ENVI, eCognition, Métrica Topo, Potree, etc.).

• Intermediate knowledge of relational databases.

• Intermediate level of English proficiency.

• Intermediate skills in at least one programming language, including programming logic.

• Solid understanding of municipal taxation.

• Intermediate knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards.

• Basic understanding of the project life cycle.

• Knowledge of Project Management principles.

• Advanced expertise in one of the company’s business areas: MDU, PGV, PDI, MMT, REURB, LADO, BIC, or urban monitoring.
