This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
β’ Develop and create robust dbt models within the Databricks environment.
β’ Convert raw ingested data into organized, standardized, and analytics-ready datasets.
β’ Collaborate with business and analytics stakeholders to define and implement KPI logic.
β’ Ensure the maintenance and evolution of reliable, tested, documented, and high-performing semantic and presentation layers.
β’ Utilize software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
β’ Independently onboard and investigate new data domains.
β’ Engage with business partners and domain owners to grasp context and validate assumptions.
β’ Identify data quality challenges and collaborate with Data Management to address them at the source.
β’ Translate analytical requirements into engineering tasks and effectively communicate data realities to the business.
β’ Assist with reporting and self-service requirements.
β’ Contribute to data governance, including naming conventions, lineage documentation, and model cataloging.
β’ Expand analytics coverage to include new brands and domains.
β’ Report to the Director of Analytics and work alongside data engineers, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related data position.
β’ Strong hands-on experience with dbt (dbt Core or dbt Cloud).
β’ Familiarity with Databricks or a similar cloud data platform such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
β’ Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, data vaults, or comparable data warehousing patterns.
β’ Exceptional SQL skills, including complex transformations, window functions, and query optimization.
β’ Ability to work independently across multiple data domains with minimal documentation.
β’ Strong analytical mindset with the capability to identify anomalies and validate logic end-to-end.
β’ Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with business stakeholders.
β’ Experience in various data domains such as marketing, product analytics, customer care, and financial/subscription data.
β’ Familiarity with SaaS GTM tools and metrics, such as Amplitude or HubSpot.
β’ Proficiency in Python for data transformation or pipeline orchestration.
β’ Exposure to BI/visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
β’ Experience working in a multi-brand or portfolio company environment.
β’ Eligibility to work in Belgium; proof of work eligibility may be necessary.
