This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +32 more states.
• Develop and maintain dbt models on Snowflake that integrate data from Salesforce, subscription, billing, hierarchy, and forecasting.
• Structure data with a clear grain, stable keys, and definitions that align with the shared metric dictionary.
• Ensure historical data is preserved so that published figures can be accurately reproduced as of their original publication date.
• Maintain relationships between accounts, territories, sellers, and the sales hierarchy as organizational changes occur.
• Reconcile data with Salesforce and Finance, and investigate any discrepancies that arise.
• Create datasets that support the weekly forecast pack, business reviews, and leadership dashboards.
• Implement tests for data freshness, completeness, and accuracy, and monitor for any failures to resolve.
• Communicate data issues and trade-offs effectively to sales and finance partners to agree on necessary fixes.
• Employ version control, code review, and continuous integration practices.
• Take ownership of deliverables within the new Forecasting & Revenue Intelligence team.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 3 years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development.
• Experience with dbt in a production environment, including tests and documentation as part of your workflow.
• Proficient in SQL, including window functions and incremental models, within a cloud data warehouse like Snowflake.
• Familiarity with the Salesforce data model, including accounts, opportunities, line items, and ownership.
• Ability to articulate data problems to non-technical stakeholders and collaboratively reach decisions.
• Preferred: Experience with dbt snapshots or slowly changing dimensions for point-in-time reporting.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Python for transformation or orchestration, utilizing Airflow or similar tools.
• Preferred: Knowledge of enterprise software or SaaS commercial data, including subscriptions, renewals, territories, and direct and partner routes to market.
• Preferred: Experience with revenue intelligence platforms such as Clari, Gong, or Aviso, and BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma.
• Preferred: Background as an early hire on a new data team.
• Must reside in the United States; candidates in the Central or Eastern time zones are preferred.
