This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +31 more states.
β’ Develop and sustain dbt models on Snowflake that integrate Salesforce, subscription, billing, hierarchy, and forecasting data.
β’ Structure data with clear granularity, stable keys, and definitions that align with the shared metric dictionary.
β’ Ensure historical data is preserved, allowing published numbers to be reproduced as they were at their original publication date.
β’ Maintain linkages between accounts, territories, sellers, and the sales hierarchy.
β’ Reconcile data with Salesforce and Finance, and investigate any discrepancies that arise.
β’ Create datasets that support weekly forecasting reports, business reviews, and leadership dashboards.
β’ Implement tests and monitoring for data freshness, completeness, and accuracy, and address any failures.
β’ Communicate data issues and trade-offs to sales and finance partners, reaching a consensus on solutions.
β’ Utilize version control, code reviews, and continuous integration in your workflow.
β’ Take ownership of delivered work as a member of a new Forecasting & Revenue Intelligence team.
β’ A bachelorβs degree in a technical or quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Over 3 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development, building models that others rely on.
β’ Experience with dbt in a production environment, including tests and documentation as part of your workflow.
β’ Proficient in SQL, including window functions and incremental models, within a cloud data warehouse like Snowflake.
β’ Familiarity with the Salesforce data model, including accounts, opportunities, line items, and ownership.
β’ Ability to articulate a data issue to a non-technical stakeholder and collaboratively arrive at a decision.
β’ Preferred: Experience with dbt snapshots or slowly changing dimensions for point-in-time reporting.
β’ Preferred: Proficiency in Python for transformation or orchestration, using Airflow or similar tools.
β’ Preferred: Knowledge of enterprise software or SaaS commercial data, including subscriptions, renewals, territories, and both direct and partner routes to market.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with revenue intelligence platforms such as Clari, Gong, or Aviso, as well as BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma.
β’ Preferred: Experience as one of the initial hires on a new data team.
β’ Must reside in the United States; candidates in the Central or Eastern time zones are preferred.
