This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
β’ Design and develop scalable pipelines for processing large volumes of unstructured insurance documents.
β’ Create connectors for document sources like SharePoint and email.
β’ Integrate, configure, and enhance OCR and document parsing technologies.
β’ Construct automated workflows for text cleaning, normalization, semantic chunking, and metadata tagging.
β’ Design vector storage schemas and effective retrieval mechanisms (RAG) for downstream AI applications.
β’ Ensure that document processing pipelines comply with enterprise security standards and low-latency SLA requirements.
β’ Develop automated error monitoring and extraction validation loops for low-confidence OCR outputs.
β’ Employ engineering best practices throughout the pipeline lifecycle, including version control, CI/CD, and testing.
β’ Convert insurance documents into structured, high-quality, AI-ready data for downstream RAG and AI models.
β’ Assist in delivering solutions for a Dutch insurance client.
β’ 5β10 years of experience in data engineering.
β’ Demonstrated experience in building data processing and document ingestion pipelines on public cloud platforms.
β’ Practical experience in processing unstructured documents, such as PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, scans, and emails.
β’ Experience in developing connectors to enterprise sources including SharePoint and email.
β’ Hands-on experience with document extraction/OCR tools, such as AWS Textract or similar.
β’ Strong adherence to engineering practices: Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
β’ Required skills: Python and SQL.
β’ Required AWS experience: S3, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
β’ Experience with unstructured document processing and ingestion pipelines.
β’ Experience in the banking or insurance sector is a plus.
β’ Nice to have: familiarity with vector databases and RAG architectures.
β’ Nice to have: experience with Azure and Databricks.
β’ Nice to have: background in financial services or the insurance domain.
β’ Candidates must be located in Europe.
β’ Ability to begin work within 30 days.
β’ Long-term contract position available until July 2027, with the possibility of extension.
β’ Remote work opportunity within Europe (preferably Central and Eastern Europe).
