Senior Analyst, Strategic Sourcing – IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, gather, analyze, and present data to enhance operational efficiency and support leadership decisions.

• Review departmental information and recommend process enhancements.

• Collaborate on initiatives aimed at improving performance related to program efficiency and patient experience.

• Prepare analytical reports and create educational materials.

• Assist Sourcing Managers in achieving financial objectives for the Strategic Sourcing division.

• Lead minor cost-reduction projects while ensuring product quality and maintaining vendor service standards.

• Oversee multiple competitive sourcing endeavors and negotiate low- to medium-risk contracts.

• Draft contracts, amendments, RFPs, RFQs, and other business communications.

• Work alongside the Supply Chain Informatics System team to guarantee accurate audits and reporting results.

• Stay informed about GPO and Trinity contract portfolios to optimize compliance with agreements.

• Collaborate with Legal and Sourcing Managers on contract drafting, analysis, compliance, and resolving issues.

• Facilitate competitive bidding by pre-qualifying suppliers, generating RFP/RFI materials, reviewing submissions, and evaluating product or service relevance.

• Execute sourcing and negotiation projects; conduct cost-benefit analyses and communicate findings.

• Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large datasets from various sources.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar tools.

• Perform ad-hoc analyses and provide actionable recommendations.

• Engage with suppliers in a legal, ethical manner, adhering to Trinity Health policies.

• Plan, manage, and oversee small to medium sourcing project lifecycles.

• Draft and implement contract amendments and manage contract lifecycle activities.

• Conduct category assessments, including spend analysis, demand forecasting, supply market intelligence, and risk evaluation.

• Analyze markets, vendor sources, product availability, supplier capabilities, and pricing.

• Support sourcing and contract management systems, audits, reporting, and process improvements.

• Coordinate the transition of executed contracts, placement of purchase orders, contract milestones, and implementation expectations.

• Act as a liaison for management team members regarding purchasing and sourcing concerns.

• Promote process enhancements that yield cost savings, increase efficiency, and improve customer service.

• Perform other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or data science, with a minimum of 5 (five) years of sourcing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Extensive knowledge and skills in advanced data analytics and procurement practices.

• Proficient in advanced Excel, Access, and Tableau.

• Experience in vendor relations and market trend analysis.

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex findings.

• Knowledge of information access, specification preparation, and bid and contract analysis.

• Capability to create and maintain accurate records and reports.

• Working knowledge of contract construction, with the ability to review, redline, and draft contract language.

• Skilled in identifying, investigating, analyzing, and resolving complex issues.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong problem-solving, research, and presentation skills.

• Effective customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a large, multi-level, geographically dispersed organization.
