Senior Analyst, Strategic Sourcing – IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Gather, assess, and report data to assist Trinity Health leadership in enhancing operational efficiency.

• Review departmental information and propose process enhancements.

• Investigate, gather, and evaluate information to pinpoint opportunities and formulate solutions.

• Collaborate on performance enhancement initiatives related to program efficiency and patient experience.

• Distribute analytical reports.

• Utilize various system applications to conduct analyses, generate reports, and create educational materials.

• Research and compile data for ad-hoc operational projects and initiatives.

• Synthesize and analyze data, deliver graphical trend presentations, and suggest practical solutions.

• Utilize operational data and metrics to showcase progress, ROI, and impacts.

• Assist in daily operations within Strategic Sourcing and contribute to achieving annual financial objectives.

• Lead small cost-reduction projects while ensuring product quality and vendor service levels are maintained or improved.

• Manage competitive sourcing processes and low- to medium-risk contract negotiations for both direct and indirect commodities and services.

• Draft contracts, amendments, RFP/RFQ documentation, and related communications.

• Maintain knowledge of GPO and Trinity contract portfolio and ensure system compliance.

• Support competitive bidding, supplier prequalification, RFP/RFI development, response review, and assessment of product/service applicability.

• Conduct competitive sourcing and negotiations; perform cost-benefit analyses, generate reports, and present findings.

• Collect, cleanse, and validate large datasets; create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar tools.

• Engage with suppliers ethically and in alignment with Trinity Health policies.

• Plan and manage small to medium sourcing projects that involve multiple stakeholders and process modifications.

• Complete contract amendments, lifecycle management, system requests, tier reporting, SIPs, and Eloc.

• Conduct category assessments, which include spend analysis, demand forecasting, supply market intelligence, and risk evaluation.

• Analyze markets, vendor sources, product availability, supplier capabilities, and pricing.

• Support sourcing and contract management systems, audits, reporting, and enhancements in process efficiency.

• Coordinate executed contract handoffs, purchase order placements, contract milestones, and implementation expectations.

• Investigate purchasing and sourcing concerns raised by ministries and provide guidance.

• Contribute to process enhancements that yield cost savings, efficiency, and improved customer service.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a focus on business, supply chain management, or data science, along with a minimum of 5 years of sourcing experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Extensive knowledge and expertise in advanced data analytics and procurement practices, including proficiency in advanced Excel, Access, and Tableau.

• Familiarity with vendor relationships and market trend analysis.

• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner.

• Understanding of methods for accessing and utilizing information, preparing specifications, and analyzing bids and contracts.

• Ability to create and maintain precise records and reports.

• Working knowledge of contract construction, with the ability to review, redline, and draft contract language.

• Ability to identify, investigate, analyze, and resolve complex issues.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving, research, and presentation capabilities.

• Solid customer service and interpersonal abilities.

• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.

• High proficiency in data visualization, statistical analysis, and business intelligence tools is preferred.
