Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of financial models related to Fetch users, encompassing acquisition, retention, user dynamics, LTV/CAC, and unit economics.

• Develop and sustain SQL queries that drive financial models.

• Manage end-to-end data retrieval within the data warehouse independently.

• Detect data anomalies, investigate root causes, and collaborate with the Data team to rectify issues.

• Assist in user forecasting during the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles.

• Transform Finance and Growth ad hoc inquiries into concise and defensible analyses.

• Provide insights to the wider team and cross-functional collaborators.

• Collaborate with the Growth team on acquisition and expenditure decisions.

• Work alongside Data and Product teams.

• Convert user economics into compelling narratives for senior leadership and investors.

• Report directly to the Director of Strategic Finance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• More than 2 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, growth/data analytics, or investment banking.

• Proficient financial modeling skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

• SQL expertise and capability to independently navigate a data warehouse.

• Strong data fluency to recognize anomalies and articulate their root causes.

• Understanding of FP&A fundamentals, including forecasting, variance analysis, and effective reporting.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to simplify complex data into understandable narratives for senior stakeholders.

• Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, startup-like environment.

• Preferred: experience in rapidly growing consumer tech, subscription, or marketplace organizations.

• Preferred: familiarity with BI/dashboarding tools; experience with Hex or Grafana is an advantage.

• Preferred: knowledge of marketing or user acquisition efficiency, including CAC and LTV.

• Preferred: experience in preparing financial reports for investors or board-level presentations.
