Senior Analyst, Pharmacy Benefits Management – Underwriting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.

📋 Description

• Implement intricate financial, contractual, and business strategies for substantial, high-impact PBM client agreements.

• Aid in the maintenance and development of contracts that reflect the changing strategies within the industry.

• Support the retention of health plan clients and ensure the operational execution of negotiated terms.

• Mitigate financial and relational risks.

• Lead strategic discussions with health plan clients and consultants.

• Negotiate contracts that accurately capture the agreed-upon terms and conditions.

• Review documents related to pricing commitments.

• Assist in the drafting, negotiation, approval, execution, and renewal of comprehensive contracts.

• Support contract strategies across clients, vendors, and/or providers.

• Comply with contract governance processes, documentation standards, and established workflows.

• Cultivate strategic partnerships with Sales, Underwriting, Legal, Finance, Proposals, and Consultant Relations.

• Ensure accurate documentation, execution, and handoff of contracts among internal stakeholders.

• Communicate contracting modifications to internal partners and implement evolving legal strategies to offer competitive and profitable pricing options.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, or corporate underwriting.

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis.

• In-depth understanding of PBM finance.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Experience in managing complex legal documents.

• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and follow-up capabilities.

• Ability to engage with all levels of management, including VPs and executives.

• Previous experience collaborating across various groups within an organization.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience in presenting to diverse business groups.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Political Science or Pre-Law, Business, Economics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
