This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate closely with the VP to design, enhance, and implement the global procurement strategy across data center categories and regions.
• Convert strategic priorities into structured plans, frameworks, and roadmaps for regional and category teams.
• Monitor strategic initiatives and highlight risks, gaps, or resource needs to leadership.
• Assist in procurement processes, governance, and tools as IREN ventures into new markets and expands its data center presence.
• Coordinate activities for new-market readiness, including supplier landscape assessments, category strategy contributions, and process standardization.
• Identify regional discrepancies and foster alignment towards a cohesive global operating model.
• Research and compile insights on market conditions, supplier capabilities, competitive benchmarks, and category trends.
• Develop business cases, cost/benefit analyses, and comparative evaluations for sourcing and strategic decisions.
• Track expenditures, savings, and pipeline data across regions to pinpoint trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare materials, briefing documents, and presentations for the VP that are suitable for board and leadership review.
• Create and maintain dashboards and regular reports on global procurement KPIs, category performance, and strategic initiatives.
• Represent the VP's office in selected cross-functional forums, ensuring action items are followed through.
• Connect global strategy with execution teams at regional and category levels.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, HSE, and Technical teams to synchronize procurement strategy with business and project timelines.
• Support QBRs, leadership reviews, and strategy discussions across different geographies.
• Standardize procurement strategy templates, planning tools, and reporting frameworks.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI-enabled tools, and data visualization.
• Contribute to institutional knowledge and best practices as teams and regions grow.
• 5–8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, management consulting, or a related strategy/analytics role.
• Proven experience in supporting senior leadership with strategic planning, business cases, or executive-level reporting.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Ability to convert complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience in creating presentations and materials for executive audiences.
• Comfort in navigating ambiguity within a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, energy, or data center/mission-critical environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with global or multi-region procurement, sourcing, or operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP/procurement systems such as Coupa, SAP Ariba, or Oracle is preferred.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
• Experience in supporting capital projects, multi-site expansions, or new-market entries is preferred.
• Background in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a chief-of-staff-style role is preferred.
