Senior Analyst – Database Integration, Data Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Assist the Senior Consultant/Subject Matter Expert in database integration, data migration, system modernization, and technical implementation.

• Examine databases, datasets, business processes, and workflows to pinpoint integration requirements, dependencies, data gaps, and areas for improvement.

• Aid in the migration, mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and validation of data between legacy and modern systems.

• Create and maintain data mappings, data dictionaries, field definitions, database documentation, process documentation, and system requirements.

• Execute data quality reviews and reconciliation to detect duplicate, incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate information.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of relational databases, including Microsoft Access and other enterprise data platforms.

• Develop and support automated workflows and business processes utilizing Power Automate or similar technologies.

• Support dashboards, reports, queries, metrics, and analytical products using Power BI, SQL, Excel, and related tools.

• Collect stakeholder business and program requirements and convert them into technical, database, integration, and reporting requirements.

• Perform testing and validation of database modifications, migrations, integrations, automated workflows, and reporting solutions.

• Troubleshoot issues related to data, databases, integrations, and workflows, coordinating resolutions with technical and program stakeholders.

• Aid in data governance, access controls, data integrity, auditability, and documentation needs.

• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and enhance program operational efficiency and reliability.

• Prepare technical documentation, status updates, briefings, recommendations, and implementation materials for project and government stakeholders.

• Collaborate with FTA personnel, project leadership, analysts, and technical resources.

• Provide additional technical and analytical assistance for FTA transportation safety programs as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent education/experience.

• Extensive professional experience in database integration, data migration, data management, data governance, or enterprise systems.

• Proven experience in analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical or data specifications.

• Familiarity with relational databases, data mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and data quality management.

• Experience in documenting databases, systems, workflows, technical requirements, and business processes.

• Experience in supporting enterprise system implementations, integrations, migrations, or modernization projects.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

• Ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Must successfully fulfill required FTA/DOT suitability criteria before commencing work on the FTA project.

• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataverse, or similar platforms.

• Preferred: Experience in developing automated workflows, dashboards, reporting solutions, or business intelligence products.

• Preferred: Experience with cloud migrations, enterprise platform integrations, or legacy system modernization.

• Preferred: Experience with Federal Government programs or in regulated environments.

• Preferred: Experience in data governance, auditability, regulatory reporting, or compliance-related data.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting transportation, transit, aviation, or safety management programs.

• Desirable: PMP, Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum, data analytics, or other relevant professional certifications.
