Senior Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, healthcare providers, support staff at clinics, and community pharmacies.

• Evaluate refill requests to ensure they align with program guidelines.

• Review and analyze patient charts for pertinent information.

• Adhere to established documentation procedures.

• Handle incoming patient calls and manage medication refill requests.

• Utilize Cerner, Genesys, and Microsoft applications effectively.

• Process prescription renewal requests received through electronic messages, faxes, or phone calls.

• Maintain documentation in compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.

• Address requests from both internal and external customers.

• Prioritize tasks according to workflow fluctuations and urgent situations.

• Execute assigned clerical or administrative tasks that do not necessitate a pharmacy technician license.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Pharmacy Technician licensure in the state of practice.

• Arizona candidates must present the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card upon hiring.

• A minimum of two years of experience in ambulatory pharmacy (retail/community or managed care) or equivalent knowledge of ambulatory pharmacy.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills.

• Proficient oral and written communication abilities.

• Moderate experience, typically acquired through 2-4 years of relevant work experience OR 12–18 months in an educational program.

• Familiarity with computer software, especially Microsoft applications.

• Completion of a technical certificate program is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams is preferred.

• Additional relevant education and/or experience is preferred.
