Senior AI Solutions Engineer, Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage applications and services powered by LLM, including agentic workflows, retrieval/RAG systems, and classification pipelines utilizing catalog, sales, and operational data.

• Establish and oversee MCP servers and tool integrations that connect AI models and assistants to internal data and systems in a secure and reliable manner.

• Take full ownership of services from start to finish, encompassing architecture, implementation, deployment, evaluation, and monitoring within the AWS/Databricks environment.

• Assess new AI tools and methodologies, conduct structured pilot programs, and spearhead the adoption of effective solutions.

• Enhance the team's AI engineering skills through collaborative sessions, internal demonstrations, pair programming with scientists, and development of internal tools that promote AI utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in building and delivering production-quality software.

• Practical experience with machine learning or AI systems.

• Proven experience in setting up MCP servers or similar tool-integration layers for AI assistants.

• Familiarity with cloud ML platforms (AWS, Databricks), model APIs (Bedrock, Anthropic, OpenAI), and vector databases.

• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in computer science, machine learning, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Experience applying AI/ML to commercial challenges such as demand forecasting, pricing strategies, sales and marketing optimization, recommendations, or search functionalities.

• Background in media, publishing, or other content-rich sectors.

• Proficiency in retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, prompt engineering, agentic patterns, and thorough evaluation of generative systems.

• Strong skills in Python engineering.

• Familiarity with version control, testing, and continuous integration.

• Excellent communication abilities and a talent for mentoring and elevating teammates.
