Senior AI Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain scalable software systems and engineering platforms.

• Tackle intricate engineering and architectural challenges beyond merely delivering product features.

• Develop production-quality solutions using Go and TypeScript.

• Construct internal tools, platforms, services, APIs, and infrastructure utilized by fellow engineers.

• Participate in the development of AI-native and agentic systems and/or the supporting infrastructure.

• Utilize AI-driven development tools such as OpenAI Codex, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools as part of your daily engineering tasks.

• Investigate and implement new AI technologies and methodologies that can enhance engineering productivity, code quality, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Engage with cloud technologies across Azure and/or AWS.

• Work in close collaboration with senior engineers and technical stakeholders to design effective and scalable solutions.

• Clearly communicate technical concepts, contribute to architectural discussions, and work efficiently with distributed teams.

• Contribute to best practices in engineering, architecture, reliability, performance, and developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong practical experience with Golang and TypeScript.

• Established history of addressing complex engineering and architectural challenges, rather than focusing exclusively on feature delivery.

• A solid platform engineering mindset, with experience in building tools, systems, services, or infrastructure utilized by other engineers.

• Proficient in an AI-native development environment and adept at using AI tools to assist daily software engineering tasks.

• Hands-on experience with tools like OpenAI Codex, Claude, Cursor, or comparable AI-assisted development tools.

• Experience in building AI-native, AI, or agentic systems, or developing the infrastructure/platforms to support AI workloads.

• Familiarity working with Azure and/or AWS; experience with both is advantageous.

• Strong grasp of software engineering principles, system design, scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Exceptional communication abilities, with a talent for explaining technical concepts clearly and collaborating effectively with engineers and technical stakeholders.

• Capable of working independently in a fully remote setting.

• English proficiency: Fluent.

• All applicants must currently reside in Portugal or Brazil.
