Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop, guide, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of AI and software engineers.

• Create the technical vision, engineering standards, and architectural roadmap for enterprise AI platforms and solutions.

• Act as the senior technical leader for AI projects, offering architectural guidance, performing design reviews, and steering engineering decisions.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure that AI investments, technology strategies, and delivery priorities align with business goals.

• Define and implement the strategy for enterprise AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and intelligent automation initiatives.

• Oversee end-to-end solution delivery throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Assess emerging AI technologies, platforms, and industry trends, recommending strategies for adoption.

• Manage production support, incident response, and operational risk for essential AI platforms and applications.

• Provide technical direction for cloud-native AI platforms and applications across AWS, GCP, and enterprise ecosystems.

• Direct the design and implementation of LLM and Generative AI solutions, RAG architectures, agentic AI platforms, serverless architectures, APIs, microservices, and AI observability frameworks.

• Establish reusable engineering patterns, frameworks, and platform accelerators.

• Ensure AI solutions conform to Responsible AI principles, technology standards, security measures, and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with security, privacy, legal, compliance, and risk teams on AI governance.

• Advocate for model evaluation, explainability, auditability, data protection, and operational risk management.

• Work with product, engineering, data, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to outline roadmaps and prioritize initiatives.

• Convey complex technical concepts to executives, technical teams, and business partners.

• Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader on enterprise AI strategy and implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, machine learning, or AI engineering.

• More than 2 years of experience leading engineering teams or architecture initiatives as a technical lead, solution architect, principal engineer, or engineering manager for enterprise-scale platforms.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and operating cloud-native applications on AWS and/or GCP.

• Experience in delivering production AI solutions, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) platforms.

• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and contemporary software engineering practices.

• Experience collaborating within a product operating model to define technology roadmaps and achieve business outcomes.

• Outstanding communication, mentorship, and technical leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence both technical and executive audiences.

• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and/or SAFe delivery frameworks in large enterprise settings is preferred.

• Preferred experience in the Health Care Industry.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience with enterprise AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, Azure AI, or similar.

• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, including serverless, event-driven, microservices, and API-based design patterns.

• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as Bedrock Agents, Vertex AI Agent Builder, LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Copilot Studio, and Power Automate.

• Experience with multi-agent systems, workflow orchestration, tool integration, reasoning, and autonomous task execution.

• Proficient in enterprise RAG architectures, knowledge retrieval systems, vector search platforms, document ingestion pipelines, and enterprise data integration.

• Knowledge of vector databases including OpenSearch, Pinecone, pgvector, FAISS, Milvus, or similar.

• Experience in model evaluation, fine-tuning, deployment, monitoring, observability, and optimization.

• Familiarity with AI platform scalability, governance, cost optimization, latency management, and operational excellence.

• Experience with Responsible AI governance, model documentation, risk management, validation, and auditability.

• Proven ability to design secure AI solutions that comply with healthcare, privacy, security, regulatory standards, and HIPAA.
