This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Facilitate technical discovery sessions with client business, IT, architecture, security, data, and operations teams.
• Convert business goals, workflows, and operational challenges into technical requirements, architectural designs, and implementation strategies.
• Evaluate enterprise application landscapes, integration needs, data environments, security limitations, and operational models.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Convey complex AI, data, platform, and integration concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
• Recognize technical risks, dependencies, assumptions, and strategies for mitigation.
• Create technical prototypes and proofs of concept.
• Design comprehensive solutions that link AI Agency capabilities with client systems, data sources, content repositories, workflows, and approval processes.
• Develop and set up production-quality integrations utilizing APIs, webhooks, event-driven patterns, secure file transfers, connector frameworks, and enterprise integration platforms.
• Create client-specific configuration and deployment resources.
• Actively contribute code across backend services, integration components, data pipelines, AI workflows, and supporting user experiences.
• Design and execute AI-enhanced workflows using LLMs, RAG, agent orchestration, structured outputs, evaluation frameworks, and human approval checkpoints.
• Implement authentication, authorization, identity federation, secrets management, data mapping, error handling, observability, and audit requirements.
• Assist in the transition from prototype to stable production deployment.
• Construct and maintain data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and AI workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on ETL/ELT and analytics projects.
• Develop cloud-native solutions, preferably utilizing Google Cloud Platform.
• Execute CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment procedures.
• Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
• Provide support for production troubleshooting, performance optimization, and incident resolution.
• Exhibit inclusive behaviors and actively manage bias.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 9 years of experience in software engineering, solution engineering, technical consulting, platform implementation, or related engineering roles.
• More than 5 years of experience in designing and deploying production cloud-based AI, data, or enterprise application solutions.
• Advanced programming proficiency in Python and at least one other modern language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Java, or .NET.
• Extensive experience in designing APIs, data pipelines, event-driven architectures, enterprise integrations, authentication and security frameworks, and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with generative AI technologies including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, agent orchestration, AI evaluations, observability, and guardrails.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, containers, and cloud-native development practices.
• Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management abilities with a knack for influencing others.
