• Conduct research, design, plan, develop, and assess cutting-edge network technologies by converting customer needs and strategic goals into product designs.
• Construct and manage a secure, production-ready AI platform utilizing AWS Bedrock.
• Take ownership of Claude deployment, model access and versioning, data residency, throughput, private VPC-isolated hosting, and model routing.
• Develop and sustain application harnesses for prompt and context management, tool and function invocation, agent orchestration, retrieval pipelines, guardrails, caching, and fallback behavior.
• Manage evaluation harnesses, regression suites, quality benchmarks, and model release workflows.
• Create secure, governed AI connections to Microsoft 365, Graph, SharePoint, databases, warehouses, APIs, and line-of-business systems.
• Oversee retrieval architecture, indexing, data freshness, and permission trimming.
• Design a least-privilege approach for identity, network, and data access using IAM, Entra ID, encryption, key management, secrets handling, and tenant isolation.
• Protect against prompt injection, data exfiltration, insecure tool usage, and over-permissioned agents.
• Implement monitoring and observability for latency, errors, throughput, quality, drift, guardrail trips, and anomalous usage.
• Optimize AI costs through attribution, budgeting, model right-sizing, caching, context optimization, batching, and throughput decisions.
• Develop reusable patterns, templates, and guardrails for future AI applications.
• Collaborate with Communications, Waypoint, Payments, and Corporate/Shared teams to identify AI and automation opportunities.
• Prototype solutions, validate with users, deploy production-ready solutions, foster adoption, and measure business impact.
• Empower AI champions across all business lines.

• Robust software and solutions engineering background with practical experience in building and deploying production AI/LLM applications, including RAG, agents, tool usage, orchestration, and evaluation.
• Direct experience with a managed model platform in production; AWS Bedrock is highly preferred, along with AWS IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudWatch, and PrivateLink.
• Proven capability to build and maintain data connectivity to enterprise systems with permission-aware retrieval.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security and data governance, encompassing identity and access management, data protection, encryption, key management, and AI-specific threat models.
• Experience in production operations, including monitoring and on-call responsibilities for live systems.
• Financial acumen and ability to track inference spending accurately.
• Excellent business communication skills for translating finance, operations, or sales challenges into effective solutions.
• Demonstrated inclination toward shipping and driving adoption over merely building demos.
