Senior AI Architect – Presales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and develop AI systems ready for production that enhance customer experience use cases.

• Create scalable RAG and enterprise knowledge frameworks.

• Implement AI assessment and observability frameworks linked to both technical and business outcomes.

• Engineer contextual AI experiences utilizing real-time customer data, interaction history, conversation state, and external signals.

• Enhance AI architectures for improved scalability, latency, throughput, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Lead presales efforts through technical discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations, sandbox and trial engagements, integration guidance, and value assessments.

• Develop and assess AI prototypes to ensure readiness for production pilots.

• Showcase Genesys Cloud AI capabilities and interoperability strategies, including MCP and A2A.

• Create reusable technical resources, workshops, coaching, and enablement for Solution Consultants, partners, and account teams.

• Convert customer requirements and field feedback into actionable insights for Product Management and Engineering.

• Collaborate with sales, account teams, customers, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering.

• Influence CIOs, CTOs, and senior technical stakeholders regarding AI architecture and enterprise transformation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in designing and architecting enterprise AI solutions.

• Practical experience with traditional machine learning, NLU and NLP, retrieval-based systems, LLMs, orchestration patterns, tool usage, and agentic AI methodologies.

• Strong architectural judgment regarding model selection, latency, cost, explainability, governance, multilingual considerations, security, scalability, and business risk.

• Expertise in integrating AI solutions with enterprise platforms, knowledge sources, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, identity systems, and cloud ecosystems.

• Experience in designing real-time enterprise solutions that consider voice and digital latency, throughput, secure data access, reliability, fallback paths, failure management, and scalability.

• Proficient in defining AI evaluation, governance, and observability strategies.

• Familiarity with prompt design, context management, RAG, and optimizing AI workflows.

• Competence with agentic coding and AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, OpenAI Codex, or Kiro.

• Skill in delivering technical demonstrations, prototypes, and presentations.

• Proven success in partnering with sales teams for technical discovery and AI-centered solution design.

• Exceptional executive communication skills, storytelling ability, and presence.

• Preferred: knowledge of Genesys Cloud and Genesys AI capabilities.

• Preferred: experience in designing AI solutions for customer experience orchestration, contact centers, self-service, agent assistance, journey management, or back-office automation.
