This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, construct, and implement scalable actuarial models, including IBNR, financial forecasting, risk adjustment, and pricing models.
• Incorporate actuarial models with platform APIs and core engineering workflows.
• Work collaboratively with Product, Delivery, and Engineering teams to provide domain context for the Arbital AI suite.
• Enhance prompts, broaden evaluation frameworks such as CADRE, create Golden question/answer pairs, and ensure high-fidelity automated actuarial outputs.
• Integrate actuarial best practices, professionalism, and validation standards into automated modeling tools and data pipelines.
• Spearhead rapid proof-of-concept developments to mitigate risks associated with complex actuarial logic and test algorithmic methods.
• Collaborate across functions to translate healthcare data challenges into scalable software solutions.
• Create scalable models within AI architecture and address healthcare risk issues using innovative practices.
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) is required; Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) is preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years of healthcare actuarial experience involving data, including eligibility and claims, along with model development.
• Proficient coding skills in Python, R, and SQL.
• Proven track record of writing clean and reproducible code.
• Experience using Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
• Strong interest or experience in leveraging generative AI, LLMs, PySpark, or cloud data infrastructure.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to excel in a dynamic technology organization.
• Capacity to convey intricate actuarial concepts to other teams effectively.
• Practical experience with PySpark, Databricks, or distributed computing frameworks is an advantage.
• Acquaintance with modern AI architectures, such as RAG or OKF frameworks and model evaluation suites, is a plus.
• Experience in translating traditional actuarial logic into contemporary engineering languages is a bonus.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment.
