Senior Actuarial Data Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +22 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the upkeep and enhancement of Actuarial Systems Data Marts.

• Conduct monthly data refreshes, financial validations, and quality assurance assessments for actuarial reporting and analytics.

• Evaluate business challenges and opportunities; devise, suggest, and implement effective solutions.

• Create decision-support solutions, encompassing medical and pharmacy claim financial data builds, data extracts, reports, data mart tables, views, and analyses.

• Ensure that financial granular-detail data is verifiable, snapshotted, and preserved for quarterly and year-end audits.

• Build relationships with vendors and inter-departmental teams to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

• Keep track of company and external vendor changes impacting departmental processes and systems; propose and implement necessary updates.

• Manage various application domains, including data definitions, usage and file structure, technical code structure, business rules, and requirements.

• Offer technical guidance and application expertise to business project teams.

• Collaborate with business areas throughout the development and implementation phases.

• Provide configuration expertise and engage with customers and business partners through verbal, written, electronic communication, and presentations.

• Deliver analytical support for departmental, divisional, and corporate initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree (if required), or 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.

• At least 5 years of SQL Development/Analysis experience is highly preferred.

• 5+ years of experience with healthcare claims data.

• Experience in healthcare data analytics, including Government and Commercial lines of business.

• Familiarity with Facets is an advantage.

• Proven experience leading project teams is essential.

• Proficiency in Agile Methodology, Application Management, Business Analysis, Business Requirements, Business Requirements Analysis, Code Development, Process Design, Quality Assurance, System Testing, and Unit Testing.
