Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Gather client receivables in accordance with contractual obligations

• Review, manage, and address disputes related to receivables

• Analyze Clinical Trial revenue and expenditures

• Examine study accounts receivable aging, patient accounts, pass-through invoices, study finance trackers, patient trackers, and contracts

• Collaborate with departments to validate charges and collect payments from sponsors

• Support Finance and Budget & Contracts departments with designated projects and tasks

• Evaluate complex data and numerous documents to assess the collectability of receivables

• Monitor assigned accounts for anomalies, non-payments, and overdue payments

• Reach out to Sponsors/CROs by phone regarding outstanding or open invoices

• Investigate and settle disputes involving sponsors, patients, and customers

• Foster business relationships with Sponsors/CROs as the primary receivables contact for Sarah Cannon Research Institute

• Reconcile financial study data with data from Sponsors/CROs

• Review and discuss contracts internally and with clients to address payment or dispute concerns

• Assess medical procedure invoices against contracts to ascertain reimbursement eligibility

• Identify and report trends adversely affecting payments or workflows and collaborate with the supervisor for resolution

• Work with Accounting, Treasury, and Contracting to clarify billing inquiries

• Carry out additional duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education

• Over 3 years of experience in interpreting and understanding complex documents and recognizing financial implications

• Experience in Clinical Research is highly desirable

• Familiarity with clinical financial systems and EMRs

• This position is fully remote and based in the US
