Senior Accounting Manager, E-Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage a team of Accounting Managers, bookkeepers, and a portfolio of clients.

• Provide support and guidance to the team.

• Ensure timely submission of weekly and monthly financial reports to clients.

• Act as a point of escalation and a strategic partner for clients.

• Guarantee the accuracy of presented information and conduct final quality control of deliverables.

• Supervise month-end closing and essential accounting procedures.

• Analyze management reports, key performance indicators, accounting packages, reconciliations, and trends in the balance sheet and profit & loss statements.

• Evaluate inventory reconciliation, write-offs, obsolescence adjustments, product costs, and inventory management systems.

• Assess accounts receivable processing and aging reports.

• Review accounts payable processing, aging reports, and Bill.com transactions.

• Oversee payroll processing, journal entries, and accruals.

• Provide ad hoc reports or detailed information as needed.

• Manage client communications effectively.

• Supervise and mentor the team.

• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.

• Oversee the budget for the team.

• Maintain organized files and document storage systems.

• Engage in directed training sessions.

• Contribute as an internal strategic partner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.

• At least 2 years of experience in a multi-client or consulting capacity.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Excel.

• Experience with NetSuite and Xero is highly beneficial.

• Experience working with e-commerce clients is mandatory.

• Proven experience in reconciling platforms such as Shopify, PayPal, Bill.com, etc.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and a solid grasp of accounting best practices.

• Comprehensive understanding of financial statements and the ability to evaluate them.

• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

• Capability to prioritize effectively and manage time in a remote work setting.

• A proactive and team-oriented mindset.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
