Senior Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing global accounting team by establishing clear roles, decision-making authority, objectives, and professional development plans.

• Oversee and expedite closing processes related to general accounting, treasury, accounts payable, employee reimbursements, and management of the corporate card program.

• Prepare and evaluate journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses in accordance with US GAAP and internal accounting standards.

• Conduct technical accounting for stock-based compensation (ASC 718), leases (ASC 842), and foreign currency issues (ASC 830), including drafting analyses and memos for review.

• Spearhead the implementation of a procure-to-pay (PTP) tool centered on the PO-to-Pay workflow.

• Collaborate with the International Accounting team regarding intercompany transactions and the financial reporting of subsidiaries.

• Work alongside Technology teams and business stakeholders on ERP enhancements, implementations, integrations, and reporting improvements.

• Document and preserve accounting policies, procedures, and essential controls.

• Drive workflow enhancements, system optimizations, automation, and AI initiatives across closing and accounting operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in accounting.

• At least three years of experience in leading a team of accountants.

• In-depth understanding of US GAAP.

• Practical experience with NetSuite (or a comparable ERP), including workflow and report enhancements.

• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of accountability and initiative.

• Proven experience utilizing automation and AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

• Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

• Capability to collaborate across Finance and the business while clearly communicating complex accounting concepts to leaders, auditors, and non-Finance colleagues.
