Senior Accounting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and interpret financial information to aid management in making strategic choices.

• Ensure precise financial records are maintained in compliance with GAAP standards.

• Prepare, assist with, and review monthly closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Facilitate the monitoring of project budgets and expenditures, providing documentation for audits and tax compliance.

• Collaborate with project managers and clinical teams to collect and assess financial data for ongoing projects.

• Create and suggest enhancements to financial management systems and accounting practices.

• Review and reconcile month-end entries made by the AP Specialist in accordance with GAAP.

• Analyze, monitor, and account for invoices that require accrual at the end of the fiscal year/month.

• Assist with bank reconciliations and uphold accurate records of financial transactions.

• Participate in financial statement and compliance audits.

• Provide insights on financial decisions that benefit the organization.

• Represent Flourish Research professionally in interactions with staff, clients, and vendors.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.

• Work remotely, with up to 15% travel and occasional evening/weekend hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in clinical research or a related healthcare environment.

• Exceptional organizational capabilities and attention to detail.

• Strong foundation in accounting and financial reconciliations.

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in NetSuite and Office 365 applications.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong skills in problem-solving, risk assessment, and impact analysis.

• Proven experience in process enhancement.

• Flexible with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.

• Capability to think independently and influence decisions when necessary.

• Knowledge of clinical trial reporting is advantageous but not mandatory.
