Senior Accountant, Statutory Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements for four Polish legal entities in accordance with Ustawa o rachunkowości.

• Oversee e-sprawozdanie filings and KRS submissions.

• Maintain accurate secondary books and proactively record statutory adjustments.

• Establish and manage a quarterly bridge register between Polish GAAP and US GAAP.

• Analyze technical discrepancies related to revenue, leases, provisions, capitalization, and foreign exchange.

• Lead statutory audits across all jurisdictions, encompassing planning, fieldwork, technical accounting resolutions, and auditor relations.

• Manage entity-level reporting throughout the month-end closing process.

• Review intercompany transactions for statutory and tax implications within Polish entities.

• Supervise GUS statistical reporting and NBP regulatory submissions.

• Collaborate with external providers to ensure statutory compliance for UK, French, and other global subsidiaries.

• Report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager within the Controllership team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of practical experience in preparing end-to-end statutory financial statements and managing ongoing regulatory filings under Ustawa o rachunkowości.

• A recognized professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or a Polish equivalent).

• Strong practical experience in identifying technical accounting differences and applying PL GAAP to US GAAP adjustments.

• Demonstrated ability to independently review, reconcile, and close high-volume, multi-currency intercompany transactions each month.

• Proficiency in both spoken and written Polish and English.

• Direct experience with local GAAP in the UK, Spain, or France, or a proven capability to research and apply unfamiliar foreign accounting standards independently.

• Experience in high-growth international tech/SaaS environments or with Big 4/mid-tier accounting and advisory firms.

• Practical knowledge of GUS, NBP, and Polish e-reporting obligations (JPK, KSeF).

• Experience coordinating statutory audit and compliance deliverables with international accounting networks.
