This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of recurring revenue accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, close deliverables, and revenue activity analysis in compliance with ASC 606.
• Assess revenue issues and collaborate with Accounting leadership to ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
• Assist in post-acquisition revenue settlement analyses for acquired practices.
• Coordinate acquisition-related revenue activities with Corporate Development, Finance, Accounting, Billing, and Operations teams.
• Reconcile data from Orion and Sage Intacct, as well as receivables, cash collections, and billing-related information.
• Monitor aging accounts, collection trends, unapplied cash, and receivable balances while investigating any exceptions.
• Record and accrue costs associated with compensation, payroll, bonuses, incentives, and variable compensation.
• Reconcile compensation-related accounts, maintain supporting schedules, document accrual methodologies, and address variances.
• Prepare workpapers and schedules for revenue, compensation, receivables, cash collections, payroll accruals, and related accounts.
• Support month-end close processes, internal controls, process enhancements, audits, interim reviews, compliance activities, and ad-hoc projects.
• Oversee and review the work of the advisor compensation analyst, including validation and approval of compensation calculations.
• Address compensation-related issues and inquiries from advisors.
• Offer guidance, training, onboarding, knowledge transfer, process documentation, and support for continuous improvement.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• CPA or CPA-track designation is preferred.
• 5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 is required.
• Experience in revenue accounting, accounts receivable, cash collections, compensation accounting, payroll accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, audit support, and month-end closing is required.
• Experience in wealth management, RIA, financial services, asset management, broker-dealer, or similar industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with acquisition-related accounting, revenue integration, or post-acquisition settlement analysis is preferred.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Orion, billing systems, AUM platforms, revenue subledgers, or comparable systems is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
